Summary:

Product Manager, Digital Products is operationally focused on developing and managing digital products for AutoZone. The position is responsible for monitoring, managing, maintaining systems and features within a wide spectrum of AutoZone’s digital products and properties. This person will be responsible for the functional definition and requirements and the operations of digital systems.  Strong domain knowledge utilizing functional and technical skills to support customers, resolve problems, provide training as required, functional/technical requirements gathering, documentation, estimation, planning and project management. This position will have responsibilities for managing the end-user experience across AutoZone’s digital channels.  Must be a motivated problem solver with a solid understanding of consumer-facing digital products and be comfortable converting strategic concepts into tangible requirements. 

Responsibilities:

  • Will work under the direction of the Senior Manager / Director of Digital Products
  • Convert strategic ideas into actionable tactics aimed at improving the customer experience across digital channels
  • Lead and communicate the execution of the strategy and the product and program initiatives.
  • Prioritize program scope by building consensuses within and outside the digital teams.
  • Own and manage portions of the business / product pillar
  • Be the business catalyst for the area of the business
  • Oversee and approve business analysis, use cases, business cases and sales planning processes.
  • Establish go to market plans for new product/ program launches to include ongoing support, sales, marketing, operational processes.
  • Understands the enterprise digital systems leveraging technology across the entire channel.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to drive goals and objectives.
  • Become familiar with the latest technologies and trends in digital commerce. Leverage these to accomplish business and technical goals
  • Interact with multiple levels within the organization and communicate company goals to external organizations
  • Partner with stakeholders from different functional areas to understand their business needs and how it impacts the ongoing development and operation of digital products
  • Communicate with leadership inside and outside the department on roadmap deliverables, product stability and performance metrics
  • Act as the voice of the customer among development team to consistently maximize the value delivered to end users
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand cross-functional priorities and dependencies as they relate to relevant feature sets
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (UX, IT, Analytics, QA, Marketing) to ensure delivery of quality enhancements and feature sets that meet the complex needs of customers
  • Partner closely with other Digital Product Owners and Digital Product Management team
  • Write, prioritize and manage all product user stories
  • Properly articulate and document user story acceptance criteria
  • Prioritize program scope and backlog based on agile methodology
  • Manage and approve business analysis/use cases
  • Analyze usability, market research, competition, KPIs, trends and technology for opportunities to be a champion for the customer and drive incremental sales growth
  • Manage experimentation lifecycle, cross-functional product test planning and optimization test results communication
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to drive goals and objectives
  • Become familiar with the latest technologies and trends in digital commerce
  • Direct report responsibilities
  • Manage teams across geographies
  • Manage relationships with some vendors and third parties

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Business or Technology; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in Digital Commerce / Technology, leading management of digital products and projects
  • Expert business case analysis, planning, change management and presentation skills
  • Superior verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Expertise in technology and experience working on technology projects, creating functional requirements, and use cases for the development and architecture teams.  
  • Experience in agile environment preferred
  • Experience with a/b testing and site optimization preferred
  • Superior verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of the business and stakeholder needs
  • Strong business analysis skills
  • Proven experience in translating strategy into tactical execution
  • Proven experience working with and managing geographically distributed teams
