SUMMARY: The Global Sourcing Coordinator role
will support the development, maintenance and improvement of Global Sourcing
transitions that significantly reduce costs and improve quality as well as
collaborating with key suppliers on strategic initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and support the implementation of direct import transition programs from one supplier to another or multiple new suppliers
- Support key supplier collaboration initiatives that improve productivity and effectiveness
- Manage the workflow process for transitions by partnering with supply chain and merchandising to ensure all tasks are completed on time, the correct processes are followed in the correct order, and the total program transitions are executed flawlessly
- Organize, plan, track, and manage to final execution designated projects that will positively impact direct import initiative and cost savings
- Partner with appropriate cross-functional areas and international teams to meet project deadlines and ensure timely and flawless implementation of programs transitions
- Monitor replenishment parameters for direct import transitions including factory lead times and minimum order quantities
- Facilitate key meetings for assigned projects and keep the correct team members involved and updated
- Support the set-up of vendors and the documentations needed for on boarding a new vendor
REQUIREMENTS:
- A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent in International Business, Merchandising, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management preferred
- One to three years of experience in sourcing or supply chain
- Excellent organizational, project management, and planning skills
- Capable of handling multiple tasks and priorities
- Background in sourcing, importing, logistics, or supply chain
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to use flexibility and creativity in problem solving
- High level Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint skills
- Looking for assertive, goal-oriented, multi-tasker to manage direct import transitions
